Contributions on your planned, current or finished research can be submitted in the form of research reports, reviews, position papers, technobiographies or project proposals. They should all explain which aspects of your work can be called “smart.”


There are three stages:


1. Submit your abstract before 30 January 2020. You will receive a notification of acceptance by February 15th 2020. Follow the instructions in the template.

2. Should you wish your paper to be included in the proceedings (published with ISBN number), you should submit a 4000 word text by 15 March, 2020. These papers will be double-blind reviewed. The best papers will be presented in a plenary session.


3. Selected papers will be published as longer articles, including the feedback received at the conference, in Computer Assisted Language Learning.

Selected submissions will be presented in a plenary session. The best (post)graduate student presentation will be considered for the Jaclyn Ng Shi Ing Award. And an experienced colleague will receive the CALL-2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The  proceedings containing optional papers will be published with an ISBN number, and extended selected papers will appear as articles in Computer Assisted Language LearningThe deadline for submission of abstracts is 30 January 2020. The conference website and submission system will be available from December 6th, 2019.
